Skin allergies?

I've had a strange skin allergy for about a year. All of a sudden it pooped up outta nowhere. I thought it was maybe due to stress but I don't think it is since I'm not stressed anymore and it's still there. It comes up in wierd bumps. I thought it was maybe eczema...can it just pop up outta nowhere? I've tried every anti itch lotion known to man, and the stuff the dermatologist gave me didn't work. Any suggestions? Hypnosis? Acupuncture?

Skin allergies?
go to your dermatologist again. they can provide a lotion and a cream for it (some has steroid in them, potent stuff but it works).

try cetaphil for soap too. there are some stuff in regular soaps that are irritant, specially with eczema.

bad news is, once you have it, it never goes away. it'll react when weather changes, stress in life, and just because.

i suffer it. i was told by my derma that there's no cure for it yet, as of now.
Reply:Have you tried having sex?
Reply:This happened to me in collage, out of the blue. Severe eczema. I finally tried a steriod and cortisone mix my doctor prescribed me and it was a miracle, it worked. Prednasone will help but it's not good to be on it long term. Please see an allergist, best way to go.
Reply:don't treat the symptoms, find the cause. consider it may be a food allergy. use process of elimination, start with the more common allergens: milk, gluten, nuts. choose one, eliminate it from your diet for several weeks, note the results. gluten is highly allergenic, there is too much in everyday diets and people can develop intolerance to it. it is also the most difficult to isolate, eliminate and identify. see Celiac disease on the web. look for other symptoms associated with gluten allergies.
Reply:There's a chance you now have skin allergy, and for first thing, you can ask around the elders of your family; it's not something so bad, they talk about it to you. Next, if that doesn't get you information, try first, Over-The-Counter Loratadine 10mg, cheap, and when that fails your expectation, try Desloratadine, which is Clarinex , and then try, not cheap, Allegra 120. If your skin is not only itching but breaks into a rash there are more possibilities, all must be tried until you get it right or simply outgrow the problem. If you are ready for the real battle, visit an allergy-specialist it may be found you need a battery of shots for a year or so and the problem should go away for at least some years. Nearly all of us have allergies to some degree.
