When a doctor performs a skin panel test for allergies, does this test include a test for shellfish allergy?

I had a heap of skin tests late August of this year.

Here is what is on the skin test sheet, (Australian test) but I would imagine they would be very simular.

Pollens

Dusts

Fungi's

Foods

Animals

Insects

I will only put what is on the food list.

Foods;

Milk (cow)

Egg Alb

Egg Yolk

Wheat Fl

Apple

Banana

Bean (Soya)

Beef

Carrot

Cocoa

Cray / fish

Fowl

Honey

Lamb

Onion

Orange

Pea

Peanut

Pineapple

Pork

Potato

Tomato

Walnut

Whiting

Yeast (Bakers)

Yeast (Brewers)

Saline

Histamine

Make sure you have some anti-histamines with you (you can take them when they completed all the tests), as my arm was a mass of itchy welts, some of which melded together.

Good luck

Yes. There will be nearly 100 unique test areas
Reply:no that is mainly for things that are airborn and the like i believe that that test is done by blood test i know that is how they found my cashew allergy
Reply:usually the first test performed is the basic test , mold, pollen, dog dander, etc. unless youv'e never showed any signs of anything else then the allergists might jump right to what your having problems with. however, that is not normally performed until further visits seek specialists
Reply:the allergy test can be up to 40 different items. to inclube shell fish. What they will do is stick your back enough to break the skin ...it doesn't hurt and then they put droplets of different substances on the broken skin... grass, weeds, pet hair, horse hair, eggs, etc when your back gets a little whelp in the area they measure it and then they tell you what your allergic to.
Reply:When I had it done the dermatologist basically picked and chose what he wanted to test me for, so if you're worried about it just ask and they probably can.
Reply:unless they know you possibly have a problem with that. otherwise, you may tell the dr u wnna be tested
Reply:If you are tested for food allergies too then it should include shellfish.
