How can i get rid of my skin allergy?

Ive had skin hives for 8 weeks straight. Ive tried 2 different allergy meds prescribed, but i still get them. I changed laundry detergent to the Unscented/allergy free kind but nothing works. Any suggestions?

CHANGE almost everything.


Bedsheets, for example.


Wash everything in really hot water.


Switch to cotton sheets and clothing. Give up perfume and any kind of soap or body lotion that isn't specifically for your allergies.


Start keeping records of what you touch and use - and when the hives are worse.


Aveeno Oatmeal soap seems to be the safest for me and my ( also allergic) husband. Unscented, of course.
Reply:You may be allergic to something you have ingested, have you been eating something new or taking a new drug? You should probably see an allergist and get a skin test.





Have you been using a topical allergy ointment since it started? I once had poison ivy for a few months until I figured out that the poison ivy had gone and I was allergic to Benedryl.

Reply:WELL LET ME TELL U 4 THREE OR FOUR YEARS NOW I HAVE BEEN GETTING ITCHY N GETTING RASHES SO THE DOCTORS HAVE GIVEN MY MULTIPLE PATCH TESTS WHICH ALLOW THEM TO SEE WAT I WAS ALLERGIC TO SO I COULD AVIOD IT SADLY LOL I AM ALLERGIC TO EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN BUT WATER (JUST ABOUT LOL) BUT THAT HELPED ME CLEAR IT UP N IT IS USUALLY GONE SO U SHOULD HAVE A FEW PATCH TEST DONE THEY GET REAL ITCHY BUT THEY SHOW WAT UR ALLERGIC 2
