My 8 Month Old kid skin allergy come and go but not itchy?

I got a kid who's 8 month old now. I think he had food allergy because everytime he eats red spot, not exactly red but like mosquito bites appear everywhere, arms, legs, face, etc.





His allergy appeared when he was around 6 month old and started to introduce solid food. and changed his milk (same brand) to 6 mos onwards. Its a hypoallgergenic brand.





We can't seem to find whats the cause of the allergy, we stopped feeding him solid food for one week and still some of the red spots still appear. Fed him yesterday after one week with potatoes and BOOM! lots of it appear. Before potatoes were ok with him. I suspect the milk is the culprit but its the same brand we give him since he was one day old.





His allergy is not life threathening, just red spots appear around him, give him zyrtec (antihistamine) and he'll be fine. and his skin is not itchy. just red.





Anyone can help me?

at 8 months old a baby can't always tell you if they are itchy and while it doesn't seem life threatening now repeated exposure can lead to the allergies getting much worse. Is he on Zyrtec everyday? You have to do a process of elimanation and find out what might be causing it but it could also be multiple things causing it. My 2 year old is allergic to peanuts but he also started breaking out with hives the other day and he hadn't had exposure to any peanuts so that means he has another allergy so we are trying to figure out the trigger. Some babies have several allergies making it hard to pinpoint which one is causing the reaction. Also babies can develop allergies after repeated exposure to things so maybe your little one was having a reaction you didn't notice and it finally got bad enough to notice. You will probably have to keep a log like i do of what you feed your baby and when and if you notice any reactions (some reactions can take 24-48 hrs to appear).
Reply:you didn't say what kinds of milk you were giving him, soybean milk or form now theyhave. i was on soybean milk and could barely have that .all 4 of my children are allergy to milk . time to go the Dr. a call. believe me it can be serious later. i was older and found out i was allergy to a lot of foods and 3 years old when they found out why i was so sick all the time and hospital visits i could i couldn't digest fiber at all and it was serious very serious. if are using zyrtec its allergy to something your giving him . my daughter son was using that and i keep telling her it was the milk sure enough it was. the dr keep telling her what i had wrong didn't effect him, sometime family problems do get passed on. just play it safe and make a dr visit with a baby dr. also write down everything you give him and bath the baby in to what soap you wash the clothes in when you go to the dr. by the time you get it you also everything you do in the house cleaning what you use. just that one in case he's crawling. good luck
Reply:Immediately change hew milk. Try Fresh milk with 40-50% water mixing. Alergy will cover with age. Just use as solid food Half fried egg, Banana, Custard, Rice,etc. Don't use High calories food for baby.


Use EVIL Syrup three times a day. Use for one week


Always use cotton dress for baby no wool nothing else.


This type of allergy usually happen in babies less than 2-3 years. Don't wrap baby in extra cloth, mean baby shouldn't be extra warm. That is also cause. This type of allergy on all skin is due to food only. He has no skin problem.
